Paramedic students, if you wish to pass the final scenario summative exam with the medical director, you MUST be prepared. Be sure you have studied reading ECG’s, your ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS algorhythms. You HAVE to verbalize a complete patient assessment – it must be organized and thorough and appropriate. Incomplete or disorganized assessments here are just like incomplete and disorganized assessments in the field and can lead you to incorrectly diagnosing your patient and/or incorrectly managing your patient. Bad habits can sometimes manifest here – don’t let that happen to you.
